Before individual job plans are agreed, there is a wider conversation to have: what does the service need to deliver, what capacity is available, and how will the team organise its work?

What is agreed in that conversation matters. Keeping a clear record gives teams something to refer back to when developing individual job plans, reviewing progress or responding to changes during the year.

Following a request from one of our customers, and developed with them, we’ve added a way to record service level planning meetings within SARD Medical Job Planning and AHP Job Planning.

Job plan leads can now capture who attended, the year being planned for and what was agreed, keeping those records in one place. Administrators can see where meetings have been recorded and where records are still missing. AHP teams have their own meeting records, allowing them to work to their own planning timetable.

The purpose is straightforward: make useful planning information easier to record, find and carry forward into the work that follows. The system provides a place to capture the discussion and its decisions, while the planning itself remains with the people who understand the service.

This is also an example of how we continue to develop SARD. A customer identified something that would help them, and we worked with them to make it available within our systems.
