Charitable Support

The SARD team members have always been keen to give their time to raise funds for worthwhile causes. We even have our own Charity Champion, Vicki, leading the way in making a difference.

Our chosen charity is the new Kent and Medway Medical School, which opened its doors in September 2020 to its first cohort of aspiring doctors wishing to train in 21st century medicine.

Supporting KMMS made perfect sense to us. Its purpose is close to our own mission of helping to maintain the NHS as a world-class health service, and it was a unanimous decision by the team to align SARD with the education of the next generation of doctors. It’s also a local charity, as the school is close to our office at the University of Kent, Canterbury.

Since choosing KMMS, we’ve already raised over £3,500, and we have lots more fundraising planned for the future.

Everyone’s invited to participate and suggest ideas, be it running, jumping, baking or quizzing. Many hands make lots of money for a very good cause.

We are also proud sponsors of The SARD Prize, a £250 cash prize awarded to the student achieving the highest marks in their first year of studies.

You can find our more about how we’re supporting KMMS here and if you’d like to make a personal donation, you can visit our JustGiving page here.

We are very grateful to SARD for choosing the Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) as their Charity of the Year and are very impressed by the activities the team have taken on to raise money for KMMS. It is great to have people from within Kent and Medway supporting our vision to make KMMS an outstanding medical school. KMMS will make a difference to future students, the patients our graduates care for and to the wider healthcare system in Kent and Medway. Thank you to all at SARD for your support.
